Reading: Students will continue to explore and practice identifying different types of figurative language. Students have learned similes, metaphors, idioms, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, personification, and alliterations. We will be completing some fun crafts/activities to show understanding of the different types of figurative language. Also, please continue to encourage your child to use time wisely during silent reading time in class and take quizzes and record on their logs regularly. The more active reading your child does, the more they will learn!
Math: Students will be going over different topics that are either review from previous math topics or will not come up prior to testing. Students will go over 3D shapes, volume, money, probability, and adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers. There will be no math homework this week! Social Studies: We will be continuing the tour of the Midwest Region. Science: Introduction to Weather Unit
