Reading: Students will continue to explore and practice identifying different types of figurative language. Students have learned similes, metaphors, idioms, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, personification, and alliterations. We will be completing some fun crafts/activities to show understanding of the different types of figurative language. Also, please continue to encourage your child to use time wisely during silent reading time in class and take quizzes and record on their logs regularly. The more active reading your child does, the more they will learn!
